Stage Tracker Configuration
The Stage Tracker captures the lifecycle stage of a Lead, Contact, or Opportunity at the moment a touchpoint is created. This value is stored in the touchpoint's Touchpoint Position field.
Accessing Stage Tracker
- Navigate to the Cleot App Configuration tab
- Click the Other Settings tab
What It Does
When a touchpoint is created, the app records the current stage of the person or opportunity:
- With tracking enabled:
Lead - MQL,Contact - SQL,Opportunity - Negotiation - Without tracking:
Lead,Contact,Opportunity
The Touchpoint Position is set once at creation and never changes, even if the Lead/Contact later changes stage. This preserves the exact moment in the buyer journey when the campaign interaction occurred.
Configuring a Tracker
Each object type (Lead, Contact, Opportunity) has its own tracker card with three settings:
- Enable Toggle — Turn tracking on or off for this object type
- Tracked Field — Select which field to track (e.g.,
Statusfor Leads,StageNamefor Opportunities) - Tracked Values — Choose which field values should appear in the touchpoint position
Example
If you track Lead Status with values MQL and SQL:
- A Lead with Status = "MQL" creates a touchpoint with position
Lead - MQL - A Lead with Status = "Open" creates a touchpoint with position
Lead(no suffix because "Open" is not tracked)
Saving and Canceling
Each tracker card has its own Save and Cancel buttons:
- Save: Persists the current toggle, field, and value selections
- Cancel: Reverts all changes on that card to the last saved state
Changes to stage tracker configuration only affect future touchpoints. Existing touchpoints retain their original position values.
