Campaign Type Exclusions

Campaign Type Exclusions let you control which campaign types generate touchpoints. When a campaign type is excluded, adding members to campaigns of that type will not create touchpoints.

Accessing Exclusions

  1. Navigate to the Cleot App Configuration tab
  2. Click the Campaign Configuration tab
  3. The Campaign Type Exclusions section is at the top

Adding an Exclusion

  1. Select a campaign type from the Campaign Type dropdown
  2. Click Add Exclusion

The exclusion takes effect immediately. Existing touchpoints from campaigns of this type are soft-excluded — they are not deleted, but they are marked inactive and excluded from revenue calculations. This means you can reverse an exclusion at any time without losing data.

Managing Exclusions

Each exclusion in the table has two controls:

  • Toggle switch: Activate or deactivate the exclusion
  • Delete button: Permanently removes the exclusion rule

Example

You run internal test campaigns with type "Internal" that you don't want in your attribution data:

  1. Add "Internal" as an exclusion
  2. Existing touchpoints from Internal campaigns become inactive and are excluded from amount calculations
  3. New members added to Internal campaigns will not generate touchpoints
  4. If you later remove the exclusion, touchpoints are restored

Impact on Reports

Soft-excluded touchpoints are filtered out in the pre-built reports by default. If you need to see them, adjust the Active filter on your report.
